It’s not just the website that’s had a significant overhaul. Our servers have had hardware upgrades, and all hosts now run 100% SSD drives. We’ve also gone to a full gigabit network that includes a gigabit ISP fibre connection. We’ve done this to provide the lowest latency possible.
SATA Drives are all Samsung 860 EVO, either 500GB or 250.
We’ve also added a 1TB M.2 NVMe PCIe drive. We’ll be moving the more database-intensive game server to this drive.
In addition to the above, we’ve added more memory to better speed up the server-side processing.
While we try to keep things running as fast as possible, there is still the fact that some players are geographically too far away and will have high latency. Sorry, but we can’t do anything more than we have already.
